Description
DENTSPLY Dycal is a self-setting, calcium hydroxide-based material used for direct and indirect pulp capping, as well as a protective base or liner beneath restorative materials. Renowned for its excellent handling and reliable performance, Dycal promotes the formation of secondary dentin while offering minimal irritation to the pulp.
This radiopaque formula allows for easy radiographic identification and is moisture-resistant, making it suitable for use in challenging clinical environments. Dycal’s improved compressive strength and reduced solubility over earlier formulations ensure lasting performance. It does not interfere with the polymerization of composite or acrylic restorations, making it compatible with modern restorative techniques.
