Prime Dental i-Post is a prefabricated metal post designed to aid in the post-endodontic restoration process when additional core retention is needed. While not all endodontically treated teeth require posts, the i-Post offers a reliable solution for cases with significant coronal structure loss—typically when more than 30–40% of the tooth is compromised.
The post plays a crucial role in providing retention for the core build-up and should be considered when the remaining tooth structure cannot securely hold a restoration. The i-Post is designed with a built-in flare to adapt to the natural coronal flare of the tooth, improving fit and function.
