Description

VOCO Profluorid Varnish is a fluoride-based dental varnish designed to manage dentin hypersensitivity by sealing exposed dentinal tubules. It contains 5% sodium fluoride (22,600 ppm fluoride) in a colophony base. Upon application, fluoride and calcium ions form calcium fluoride deposits within the tubules, providing an effective physical barrier that reduces sensitivity.

This varnish adheres well to moist surfaces and sets quickly upon contact with saliva, making it suitable for chairside application without the need for additional equipment. It also contributes to long-term protection by supporting the formation of fluorapatite, which enhances the tooth’s resistance to acidic challenges. Xylitol is included for its cariostatic properties and to improve taste, while the formula is free from saccharin, aspartame, and gluten.

Profluorid Varnish is suitable for both children and adults and comes in a range of five flavors: Melon, Mint, Cherry, Caramel, and Bubble Gum.
