Coltene Speedex Putty Set | Condensation Silicon

Coltene Speedex Putty , manufactured by Coltène/Whaledent AG, is a two-component impression material based on condensation-type polysiloxanes (C-silicone). After manual mixing of the putty base with Speedex Universal Activator, the material forms a paste used with a standard or custom impression tray via conventional impression techniques. 

Speedex offers physical properties that approximate those of addition-cured silicones (polyvinylsiloxanes), including elastic recoverability and accurate reproduction of detail. Its low shrinkage supports dimensional stability, allowing models to be poured up to 7 days after the impression is taken without adverse effects. 

The Speedex system uses a single universal activator across three consistencies (putty, light body, and medium), simplifying inventory while maintaining consistent handling characteristics. It displaces saliva and blood without negative effects and offers strong wettability and flow characteristics.
