SDI GS-80 is a technically advanced, non-gamma 2 admix dental amalgam alloy, manufactured by SDI Limited, offering high compressive strength at an economical price point. Over 200 million GS-80 restorations have been placed worldwide since its original release in 1986.

The alloy is supplied in a pre-dosed capsule system designed to give a consistent, accurate mix on every use. GS-80 capsules are available across a range of spill sizes (400 mg, 600 mg, 800 mg, and 1200 mg alloy) and setting speeds (fast, regular, and slow set, depending on spill size), allowing clinicians to select the working and setting time appropriate to the size of restoration being placed.

GS-80 offers a positive dimensional change on setting, supporting excellent sealing qualities at the restoration margin, which helps reduce the risk of post-operative sensitivity associated with negative dimensional change. The alloy conforms to ISO 24234 and ANSI/ADA Specification No. 1.
