Description
SafeEndo GlassyRestore is a radiopaque glass ionomer restorative cement formulated from fluoroaluminosilicate glass powder combined with a polyacrylic acid, maleic acid, and tartaric acid liquid system. It is designed for the direct restoration of Class I, II, and V cavities, ART technique fillings, primary teeth restorations, fissure sealing, and as a lining beneath composite restorations.
The cement offers a high compressive strength of approximately 190 MPa and strong resistance to acid erosion (less than 0.002 mm/h), supporting durable, long-term restorations. Polyacrylic acid in the liquid component binds chemically with dentin calcium, providing strong adhesion and a precise marginal fit to hard tooth tissue.
As with other SafeEndo glass ionomer products, GlassyRestore's fluoride-containing glass filler accumulates and releases fluoride ions over time, contributing to an ongoing anticaries effect at the restoration margin.
