GDC Luxatip – 2mm Straight (L2S) is used to place a wedge between the tooth root and the surrounding bone, helping to loosen the tooth within its socket. It is often used before forceps to create movement in the tooth prior to extraction.

The L2S features a 2mm straight blade intended for apical and/or interproximal use. GDC Luxatip instruments have finely tapered tips that combine the characteristics of a periotome and an elevator. The sharp tip enables cutting of the periodontal ligament, while the tapering shaft assists with controlled expansion of the bony socket.
