GOODWILL Hemosponge is a sterile, absorbable gelatin sponge designed for local bleeding control during dental procedures such as extractions and minor oral surgeries. Its compact size makes it particularly useful in confined spaces, including nasal applications for epistaxis.

The porous structure of the sponge offers a surface for platelet adherence and activation. This interaction supports the natural coagulation cascade, aiding in the formation of a fibrin clot to help arrest bleeding.

Made from highly purified, collagen-derived gelatin, Hemosponge is biocompatible, non-toxic, and pH neutral. It can absorb up to 35–40 times its weight in blood or bodily fluids and begins to liquefy within 3–4 days when placed in mucosal areas. In soft tissues, it is gradually absorbed and metabolized by the body within 4–6 weeks.

Each sponge is gamma-sterilized in its final packaging and requires no additional sterilization before use. Production occurs in HEPA-filtered clean rooms, with strict environmental and microbiological monitoring.
