FilayDent Tor VM Transparent Crowns

STEP 1:

Incisor (51) with caries in a 3-year-old. Removal of caries and pulpotomy if indicated.

STEP 2:

Selection and trimming of strip crown:
TIP FOR SIZE SELECTION: place the incisal edge of the selected crown form between the proximal surface of the adjacent tooth. Use fine curved scissors for trimming the crown.

STEP 3:

Placing vents on mesial and distal corners of the incisal edge (allow for access overflow).

STEP 4:

Trial fit of the crown form. Etching with Universal Etching Gel.

STEP 5:

Bonding with Bonding Adhesive and light cure.

STEP 6:

Apply Composite Material e.g. Colour A1 to fill undercuts and light cure.

STEP 7:

Fill the strip crown with Composite material
TIP: progressive application of material using light pressure avoids air bubbles.

STEP 8:

Gently press down the crown onto the tooth abutment.
TIP: avoid applying too much pressure to prevent splitting of Filay Dent Transparent Crown

STEP 9:

Removal of excess after short labial and palatinal tack cure (app. 2 seconds). Final cure according to instruction of use of composite used.

STEP 10:

Remove strip crown with a pointed probe.

STEP 11:

Finish the margins with a fine diamond but or Filay Dent Kenda Polishing kits superfine. Final polishing with a silicone cup
