AmmDent Calpex is a calcium hydroxide and iodoform-based paste formulated for various endodontic procedures. It is commonly used in pulp capping, pulpotomy, management of weeping canals, external root resorption, apexification, and as a temporary filling material for infected root canals in both permanent and deciduous teeth.
The combination of calcium hydroxide and iodoform provides antibacterial action and promotes healing, making it effective for root canal disinfection and temporary obturation. Its creamy consistency allows for easy application and excellent adaptation within the canal.
